In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Unbeatable location — Right on Avenida da Liberdade, with the Avenida Metro station essentially at the doorstep and old town within a 10-minute walk.
  • Rooftop pool with views — A seasonal outdoor pool on the rooftop offers city and castle views, plus a terrace and sun loungers.
  • Breakfast that guests rave about — Extensive buffet with fresh juices, smoothies, and made-to-order options, often called a highlight.
  • Modern, comfortable rooms — Soundproofed, air-conditioned rooms with tea/coffee facilities, some with terraces and city views.
–

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Rooms can feel dark — Some guests found their room lacking natural light, despite the overall positive impressions.
  • Pool is seasonal — The rooftop pool is only open during warmer months, so it won't be available on every visit.
  • No special touches for celebrations — At least one guest booking multiple rooms for a birthday received no acknowledgment, suggesting limited personalisation.

“The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was generous by Portuguese standards. Staff in the breakfast room were especially helpful – ask Carlos at the front desk for a good restaurant tip.”

8.6Verified guest

“Great location, spacious and well-equipped rooms, and a very good breakfast. It's a modern hotel with a superb terrace and excellent views – a real treat.”

8.6Verified guest

“The staff were helpful, assisting promptly with work needs. My room was spacious and modern with plenty of USB ports and a business-friendly setup. The rooftop bar had a fine view, and breakfast was diverse with fresh, made-to-order options.”

8.6Verified guest

“Breakfast was delicious, but our room was a bit dark. It was my husband's birthday and we had booked 4 rooms for 4 nights; a small congratulation would have been a nice touch.”

8.6Verified guest

“Upscale and clean, with affable staff. The location is incredible, right next to Avenida underground station on the blue line. Our room was reasonably large with a balcony, and we appreciated the wake-up service.”

8.6Verified guest

“Breakfast was superb, with smoothies and fresh fruit, and the restaurant's prices were reasonable.”
